the other day i was chatting with my good friend Sonik, and he sends me this file.. turns out its a mix he did of old UpliNk tunes with his own music and fortified with extra funk!
what we got is one slammin mashed up mega mix of bass heavy tech goodness!!!
COLLABORATION is a compilation originally to be released on Tiger Claw Records that i participated in. it was created by randomly coupling circuit benders to create songs together, myself being paired up with UK based sound artist Zebra Mu.
check out the full post on www.getlofi.com and download the compilation!
‘Circuitry Vs Synthetic : Hardware & Ram’ is now available for download from www.circuitryaudio.com
both Circuitry and Synthetic are monthly electronic/experimental/noise/chip/breaks/glitch/core/etc events. Circuitry takes place in SF & Oakland, and Synthetic is in Sacramento. CVS:H&R is a compilation of tracks by the people that put together and play at these events.
this is an awesome compilation of chippy/noisey/funky electronic music! check it out!
also included is a new UpliNk track that was made especially for. the track is a sort of an homage to certain musical influences.
UpliNk’s album ‘VIVIVIX’ has just been released on the net label FutureKomp, and is available for FREE download!
VIVIVIX was written and recorded primarily in 2006 and wrapped up in 2007 with a very limited release of a couple dozen copies given out to friends. this album represents the culmination of 10 years of UpliNk, and certainly the finest music i have put out to date. it is also the most layered, subliminal, sycronistic and overtly occult work that i have done.
10 tracks created with a diverse array of synthesizers, drum machines, software, circuit bent toys, samples and home made electronics.
much thanks to FutureKomp for this release! there is also a lot of other great music there that is definitely worth checking out!
the first 2 UpliNk albums, 1996’s ‘Suburban Subversions and Subtle Subterfuge’ and 1997’s ‘VITRIOL’ have been uploaded to the ‘UpliNk Music‘ page. available for listening or download.
both feature plenty of Roland gear and electro/techno grooves, Suburban Subversions is more jam based and VITRIOL shows a little more composition with the introduction of computer sequencing and more sample work.
